Fibroid of uterus are commonly found tumour of
uterus. They are excised and uterus closed if
tumour is small .But if tumour is large ,uterus is to
be removed by hysterectomy. It is very shocking for
women if they are unmarried or if they want more
than one child .For such women Dr Vishwa has
described a method of uterine reconstruction after
removing the fibroid.
For procedure he has taken muscle from abdomen
(Rectus abdominis from the abdomen)and used to
repair the defect of uterus .After such
reconstruction the Patient can become pregnant
and have a child.
Avoidig hysterectomy
Hysterectomy is big operation resulting in different
complications .It is indicated for various conditions
including cancer .Dr Vishwa Prakash is of opinion
that apart from cancer if hysterectomy is required
for benign diseases , removal of uterus can be
avoided by excision of diseased part only .In this
apart from part of diseased uterus myometrium
can be removed ,and women can preserve the
uterus.
